Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit for extracting an AC power source from a commercial power supply line, and for supplying the AC power source to a plurality of information processors for realizing a power saving function as a whole system without making each information processor have any special power saving function. SOLUTION: A power supply unit body 6 and peripheral equipment 7 being an information processor to be used in this system are connected to a power supply outlet 3 of the main power supply unit, and the power supply to the information processor is controlled by turning on a switch 4 by a power supply control part 2 when it is judged that this system is being used by a system use state detecting part 1 which detects the use state of this system, and turning off the switch 4 by the power source control part 2 when it is judged that this system is not used.
