PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glove box apparatus which is capable of manufacturing a high-quality electric double layer capacitor cell with high efficiency. SOLUTION: The glove box apparatus is equipped with a glove box 10 demarcating a closed space, a path box 42 communicating with the glove box 10 through a communicating opening 41, an inner door 43 opening or closing the communicating opening 41, an inlet/outlet 44 provided to the path box 42, an outer door 45 opening or closing the inlet/outlet 44, and a heater 50 which heats the inside of the path box 42, and a vacuum drying oven 40 which exhausts air from the path box 42 that is hermetically closed once when materials are introduced into the glove box 10 through the path box 42, then heats its inside with the heater 50, and introduces an inert gas into the path box 42 so as to make its internal pressure return to a normal pressure after a prescribed time elapses.
