PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system for distributing contents and a recording medium in which its program is recorded by which it is not necessary to make a user specify different identification names, etc. according to individual attributes of terminals, data forms according to the attributes of the terminals are determined based on requested data and contents data conforming to a terminal at a requesting origin is automatically generated from a single content source data. SOLUTION: The requested data is transmitted from the terminal to a Web server section 11 of a content data provision system 10 via a network. A request analysis section 14 acquires attributes of the terminal at the requesting origin based on the requested data and transfers information about the attributes to a data generation section 13. The data generation section 13 recognizes a proper data expression format by referring to contents expression format data 22 and generates the contents data 23 based on it.
