Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing an ionic substance in a liquid, which stabilizes an average value while sharply enhancing the removal ratio of an ionic substance only with a liquid-passing activated carbon electrode and exhibits predominance in the refining of the liquid in an industrial scale, and a liquid treatment apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method of removing the ionic substance in the liquid is disclosed. The liquid treatment apparatus 1 for this method is constituted of a pair of liquid passing activated carbon electrodes 2 and 2 mutually opposed to hold a porous electric insulating material 3, a DC power supply 4 for appropriately applying a current across the liquid passing activated carbon electrodes and guide members 5 and 5 for allowing the liquid, in which the ionic substance is dissolved, to flow in the direction vertical to a pair of the liquid passing activated carbon electrodes. The liquid in which the ionic substance is dissolved is allowed to flow in a direction vertical to a pair of the liquid passing activated carbon. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
