PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient operation control using the optimum assignment evaluation function suitable for a current condition always. SOLUTION: A control pattern setting part 100 is provided in an elevator group management controller 1. The control pattern setting part 100 is provided with functions that an idea of a plurality of candidate patterns is provided by chaos based on a control pattern of the current assignment evaluation function, the optimum candidate pattern is sampled by simulation which takes traffic demand in a building into account concerning these candidate patterns, and the control pattern of the assignment evaluation function is updated by the candidate pattern. Consequently, the control pattern of the current assignment evaluation function can be optimized in accordance with the traffic demand in the building and elevator group management suitable for the current condition always is performed even when a traffic condition is changed by the control pattern setting part 100 to realize comfortable elevator operation without requiring waiting for long.
