Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo handling vehicle capable of highly efficiently loading cylindrical cargoes on a trailer. SOLUTION: An elevatable cargo handling device 14 is situated at the front part of a carbody 5 and the cargo handling device 14 consists of a C-shaped hook 17 having a lower horizontal member21 removably inserted in the middle hole 4 of a cargo 2; and a rotating device 18 rotating a hook 17 around a vertical axis 16a. The carbody 5 has a lateral travel function to travel in a lateral direction in addition to a longitudinal travel function to travel in a longitudinal direction. This constitution enables the cargoes 2 to be loaded, being arranged in two rows in the lateral direction with the longitudinal direction of the cargo 2 turned to the longitudinal direction of the trailer.
