Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively restrain forward movement of an occupant even when impact from the occupant is applied to a receiving member in the case of sudden deceleration of an automobile. SOLUTION: The receiving member 20 is disposed at a front part in a seat cushion to receive the hip part of the occupant sliding out forward with inertia force in the sudden deceleration. Both ends of the receiving member 20 are supported by upper rails 4 of seat rails 3 on both right and left sides through support parts 12 each having a means for energizing the receiving member to move upward, and a mechanism for locking downward movement in the sudden acceleration. The support parts 12, 12 are connected by a connecting member 29 to prevent the support parts from falling inside when receiving the forward movement of the occupant's hip part by the receiving member 20. The receiving member 20 is thereby restrained from bending largely in V-shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
