PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for refrigeration in a freezer in a refrigerator in which two evaporators for a refrigerating compartment and the freezer are provided and a refrigerating compartment cooling mode and a freezer cooling mode are alternatively executed. SOLUTION: A cooling cycle is so designed that the refrigerating compartment cooling mode for returning a refrigerant from a condenser to a compressor by flowing to an R evaporator and an F evaporator in order and the freezer cooling mode for returning the refrigerant from the condenser to the compressor by flowing to the F evaporator are alternatively changed over. Even when the refrigerating compartment cooling mode is executed, an F fan is driven and cold air is supplied to stores in the freezer. When a quick-freezing switch is turned on, quick-freezing operation is executed, however also at this time, the refrigerating compartment cooling mode and freezer cooling mode are alternatively changed over.
