Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform every grinding work, such as grinding a flat surface, grinding an irregular curved surface and grinding a narrow and deep part, by one belt sander, to cope with various grinding jobs by a simple structure without hindering the grinding work and by simple operation according to the necessity, and to easily change a grinding belt. SOLUTION: In the belt sander, the grinding belt 10 is wound around a drive pulley 5 driven by an appropriate motor 3 mounted in a body 1 and an idling pulley 7 mounted at a head position of the body 1 and elastically energized outward. The belt sander has a rotatable holder 16 with a roller 17 for working a curved surface mounted at an inner side position of the grinding belt 10 of the body 1 near the drive pulley 5.
