Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a photographic image photographed by an image pickup unit so as to allow a printing device to suitably print the image. SOLUTION: When an image pickup unit is connected to a printing device, the printing performance information (resolution and printing speed or the like) of a printing device is communication from the printing device to the image pickup unit, and only image data corresponding to the resolution of the printing device are transferred from the image pickup unit to the printing device, or the image data are transferred from the image pickup unit to the printing device at a transmitting speed corresponding to the printing speed.
