PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air permeable shoe having vent holes which are openings only in the lateral direction so that clogging is hardly caused by litter and opened to the outside to achieve excellent ventilation, and a manufacturing method for efficiently manufacturing the shoe by injection molding. SOLUTION: A longitudinal vent hole mold part whose rear part at least in the mold releasing direction is an inclined flat surface or a curved surface is projected to the bottom of a last mold where a shoe body 11 is mounted, and a lateral vent hole mold part provided with one pair of side molds is abutted to the longitudinal vent hole mold part to form the air permeable shoe 10 with the bottom mold by injection molding. Thus, the air permeable shoe 10 can be molded by injection so that a lateral vent hole 14 communicated with a longitudinal vent hole 13 extending from the inside of the shoe body part 11 to the middle part of the sole part 12 is opened only to the lateral direction of the outer peripheral side surface 12b of the sole part 12, whereby the shoe can be manufactured efficiently and clogging of the vent hole 15 can be prevented so as to improve the air permeability.
