PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a paper box body (lid body) in the shape a polygonal tray in which, since bedewing does not occur on the inner surface of a box making mold 6 kept at room temperature even when water in the paper material of a blank is evaporated and ejected, the surface of the box body (lid body) is not corrugated or broken to improve efficiency and to stabilize the shape of the box body. SOLUTION: In the method for making the paper box body (lid body), at least three side plates 3, 3, 3, etc., and at least three side inner plates 4, 4, 4, etc., are formed in turn on each side of a polygonal bottom surface (upper surface) plate 2 of the paper material with a heat-seal layer laminated on the inner surface side, and at least three connection pieces 5, 5, 5, etc., are formed on one side plate 3 between the side plates 3 and 3.
