Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle from getting dirty or being brought into a insufficient drying condition when the vehicle goes out after washing for the vehicle is finished, and to shorten a washing time for the vehicle, in a vehicle washing method for washing the vehicle while making a vehicle washer travel along a fore-and-aft direction within a washing area, using the washer allowing passing-through of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle 2 approaches from a vehicle approaching part 17 into the washing area 3, the vehicle 2 is made to pass through from a front side into the vehicle washer 4 stopping n a stand-by position C to be stopped under the condition where a rear half portion of the vehicle 2 is left within the washer 4, the washer 4 is advanced from the stand-by position C up to a front turn point A to prewash the vehicle 2, the washer 4 is thereafter retreated from the front turn point A to wash a front end of the vehicle 2 from a rear end thereof, the washer 4 is stopped in the front turn point A to finish the washing, the vehicle 2 is made to get out thereafter from the washing area 3, and the washer 4 is retreated to be returned from the front turn point A to the stand-by position C.
