Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor having an automatic balancing mechanism and a disk aligning function for which the increase of the number of components is suppressed and assembly man-hours are reduced. SOLUTION: The spindle motor is provided with a turntable for loading a disk to be a recording medium and a holder plate at the lower part of the turntable and is provided with the automatic balancing mechanism for which a spherical body is arranged inside an annular space formed of the turntable and the holder plate. The holder plate is provided with a center hole and pawl parts on a center part and a plurality of the pawl parts are provided along the peripheral edge of the center hole by louvering a part of the center part and raising it in a vertical direction to the holder plate surface. The turntable is provided with hole parts through which the pawl parts are passed, the turntable is provided with the disk aligning function by inserting the pawl parts to the hole parts and projecting the tip parts of the pawl parts from the hole parts and thus the spindle motor is constituted. Thus, the spindle motor having the automatic balancing mechanism and the disk aligning function, for which the increase of the number of the components is suppressed and the assembly man-hours are reduced is provided.
