Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing unit capable of printing with constant ink density even when used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The developing unit of an electrophotographic system has: a developing roller 11 to which a first voltage is applied for fixing ink; a skiving device 13 which is in contact with the developing roller 11 and to which a second voltage is applied for plating the surface of the developing roller 11 with the ink; a cleaning device 14 which is in contact with the developing roller 11 and cleans the developing roller 11; and an ink container 10 which accommodates therein the developing roller 11 and the cleaning device 14.
