Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf spring in a refrigerating machine for quantifying the degree of the fatigue fracture of the leaf spring 12 of a stirling refrigerating machine 1 or the like, giving arbitrary durability, and ensuring the operation time of minimum 1,000 hours or at least 4,000 hours. SOLUTION: The maximum stress in the leaf spring 12 when the leaf spring 12 is subjected to the drive force from a drive unit 26 is set to be ≤50 kgf/mm2in the leaf spring 12 in the refrigerating machine 1 to generate refrigeration by performing compression and expansion of the refrigerant by reciprocating a drive unit 26 comprising a cylinder 17 and a piston 8 either of which is driven by a linear motor 15, and the leaf spring 12 to constitute a resonance system together with the linear motor 15 so as to suppress the maximum stress at a predetermined level when the leaf spring 12 is subjected to the stroke by the drive unit 26 from the result of the fatigue curve of the material of the leaf spring 12 (generally, stainless steel) and the fatigue fracture test of the leaf spring 12.
