Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal size correcting circuit by which change due to high voltage change is restricted in a horizontal size while utilizing a picture tube which does not require a pin cushion correcting circuit and a diode modulator circuit. SOLUTION: An operation amplifier OP adopts partial pressure by resistances R21 and R22 as an input voltage, and generates an output current corresponding to the input voltage. The output current is supplied to one end at the primary side of a correction coil L. When a screen is bright, an anode current is increased in the picture tube, so that a high voltage is lowered. The high voltage lowering is recognized by the reduction of an input voltage in the OP, a current flowing to the primary side of the correction coil L is decreased in response to the reduction, and impedance at the secondary side of the correction coil L is increased. Thus, a resonance frequency with an S shape correction capacitor C2 is reduced, and, then, a correction is performed to reduce the horizontal size. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
