Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball bearing in which noise of a cage, vibration, and torque are reduced, and acoustic durability is improved. SOLUTION: This ball bearing is provided with an outer ring having an outer ring track on an inner peripheral face, an inner ring having an inner ring track on an outer peripheral face, a plurality of balls provided between the outer ring track and the inner ring track so as to roll freely, and the cage retaining a plurality of balls so as to roll freely. Grease is filled into a space between the outer ring track and the inner ring track. An inner peripheral face of a pocket of the cage is constituted by a spherical face part composed of a spherical recessed face having radius of curvature slightly larger than radius of curvature of a ball and a curved face part which has radius of curvature larger than the spherical face part and is smoothly continuous toward an end fringe on an opening side of each pocket from an end fringe of the spherical face part. Radius of curvature of a cross sectional shape of the inner ring track and radius of curvature of a cross sectional shape of the outer ring track are less than 51.0 to 60.0% of an outside diameter of a rolling element. Radius of curvature of the cross sectional shape of the outer ring track is not less than radius of curvature of the cross sectional shape of the inner ring track. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
