Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To machine the screw tooth form of intricate shape by using a general-purpose machining device. SOLUTION: A rotating shaft of a single cutter for machining the screw tooth form is inclined in accordance with a torsion angle of the tooth form to be machined on a work, the moving direction 5 of a center of rotation Oc of the cutter is determined to be orthogonal to a rotating shaft center 7 of the work 6, and the rotating shaft center 7 of the work 6 is placed on a position not overlapped to an extension line of the moving direction 5 of the center of rotation Oc of the cutter, whereby the screw tooth form having a Quinby curved line largely bored to an inner peripheral side from a central line of an outer diameter of a rotor, can be machined by using the general-purpose machining device, only by sending the single cutter 1 to the work 6 side in accordance with the progression of the machining.
