Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scratches from remaining on the surface of a coil material even if the coil material is a conductor, a non-conductive material, or light weight during loop-detecting the coil material. SOLUTION: A spot with which a loop part of the coil material of a detecting lever 27 is brought into contact is constituted of a guide roll 32 in a hand drum shape (comprised by forming a recessed face gradually reducing a diameter toward the center in the axial direction on a circumferential face touching the width direction of the coil member C). Although a side edge in the width direction of the coil material C is brought into sliding contact with the guide roll 32, the surface range of the coil material is not brought into sliding contact with the guide roll 32 and the scratches or the like are prevented from remaining on the surface of the coil material.
