Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed for endoscope examination which achieves high handleability and saving labors of attendants by housing and installing an anti- fall fence on the bed so as to make reclining simply by housing the anti-fall fence without removing it. SOLUTION: The bed 403 comprising first and second frames 401 and 402 is supported with a post 405 and the frames 401 and 402 being released are linked with a damper 407 for reclining set in the direction of erecting the second frame 402. Side guards 411 are disposed respectively on fixed parts 410 provided on the respective frames 401 and 402 and securely held on the fixed parts 410 with pivot pins. When the side guards are positioned to be set on frames 401 and 402, they are securely held by making fixing pins, sliding inside the fixed parts 410 along the length of the bed 403, protrude outside the side guards 411. When the side guards 411 are housed, they are securely held in the housed position by pulling releasing operation buttons fixed respectively on the fixing pins. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
