Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chiller device consuming small energy. SOLUTION: This chiller is provided with a cooler 21 cooling coolant and a primary circuit C1 provided with a first circulating mechanism P1 circulating the coolant, and a controller 32 controlling operation of the cooler 21 provided in the primary circuit C1. The controller 32 controls to operate the cooler 21 provided in the primary circuit C1 until temperature of coolant in a secondary circuit C2 drops to a lower limit set temperature and to stop operation of the same when the temperature reaches the lower limit set temperature, and to maintain the operation stop state until the temperature of the coolant in the secondary circuit C2 rises to upper limit set temperature.
