Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored rotary particle which can secure sufficient lightness even when made small in particle size and a display device which uses the colored rotary particle as a display element to realize higher resolution of an image. SOLUTION: The colored rotary particle has an optical reflection area, e.g. a reflecting layer 3 between, e.g. a white part 1 and a black part 2 of mutually different colors. In this constitution, light which is normally absorbed by the black part 2 is reflected by the reflecting layer 3 and scattered again by the white part 1 to improve the whiteness and reflection factor.
