Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin wire type carbon formed product in which pores of a desired shape can be formed with high accuracy. SOLUTION: At least graphite such as natural graphite and artificial graphite and an organic binder such as synthetic resin of a polyvinyl chloride resin and polyvinyl alcohol are used as the main material, which is kneaded and extruded into thin wires and heat treated to the calcining temperature to obtain thin wire type carbon formed product having dispersion of the graphite.
