Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping force setting system capable of efficiently conducting a mold replacing work by shortening a mold clamping force setting time to the mold for injection molding a metal, a plastic or the like. SOLUTION: The mold clamping force setting system comprises a mold clamping means for clamping a movable mold to a fixed mold by a toggle mechanism in the injection molding for molding a product, by using the movable mold and the fixed mold to move in the same direction as the mold clamping direction by a moving means and to position. The system calculates the position information of the mold clamping means capable of generating the set mold clamping force together with mold identification information from a mold thickness and a set mold clamping force at each mold and stores the position information together with the mold identification information. The system moves the clamping means including a link housing and a movable platen to a set mold clamping force generating position based on the position information of the clamping means stored corresponding to next conveying mold, folds the toggle mechanism of the clamping molds at the position, conveys the mold, and then generating the set mold clamping force by clamping by extending the toggle mechanism.
