PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extruded section member for expansion-processing capable of suitably extrusion-forming and also capable of suitably press-forming the extruded section member expanded for expansion-processing. SOLUTION: The extruded section member for expansion-processing 20 is provided with a frame portion 21 and a cylindrical curvature portion 25 extended from the frame portion 21 and the frame portion 21 is surrounded by the curvature portion 25 and at the same time, the base end 25a and the tip end 25b of the curvature portion 25 are connected to the frame portion 21, and the plate thickness of the tip end 25b connected to the frame portion 21 is made thinner than the plate thickness of the curvature portion 25.
