Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cancer marker. SOLUTION: This new ATPase-like polypeptide which expresses in a human monocytic cultured cell strain THP-1 and DNA thereof are provided. The polypeptide is a protein having three P type ATPase regions and ten transmembrane regions in the cell membrane and is composed of 1192 amino acid sequences or a splicing variant composed of 1129 amino acid sequences in which 63 amino acids in the cell membrane is deleted. The polypeptide is useful as a new cancer marker, since an expression increase in cancer cells, particularly gastric cancer cells is recognized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
