Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase durability by eliminating a discrepancy of a wire resistance in a bending direction as, the largest in a bending angle due to friction between a wire and a wire receiver (often so recognized in the upper side of an endoscope for the upper digestive tract) which is inferior to that in other directions, without enlarging an external diameter of the insertion section including the bending section. SOLUTION: The inner diameter of the wire receivers 35 on the lower and right sides is made smaller than that of the wire receivers 35 on the upper and right sides while, leaving the thickness alike. As a result, the clearance between the wire receivers 35 on the upper and right sides and a processing wire 12 is larger than that between the wire receivers 35 on the lower and left sides and the processing wire 12, and the friction at traction of the processing wire 12 becomes less than that on the upper and right sides. Here, the bending section on the upper side is set up to 180°-210° and the other bending angles to 90°-100°. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
