Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner constituted so that an initial charge-up may be prevented under a low temperature and humidity environment, and also, the amount of developer on a sleeve can be stabilized even after many sheets are made to continuously pass through, as for a two-component image forming method using a developing sleeve having a surface coating layer coated with resin composition constituted of at least conductive spherical particles and binding resin, and using the toner with particulates containing an Si atom as main component added. SOLUTION: As for the toner used in the image forming method wherein a latent image formed on a latent image carrier is developed by a developer carrier arranged facing the latent image carrier in a developing area with two-component developer constituted of magnetic carrier and non-magnetic toner in the developing area, the developer carrier is provided with at least a rotatable substrate and the coating layer coating the surface of the substrate, the coating layer is constituted of the resin composition containing at least the binding resin and the conductive spherical particles, and the isolation ratio of the Si atom to the C atom as the origin of the toner constitution is 0.3 to 20%, and also, the isolation ratio of a Ti atom is 1.0 to 40%.
