PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer that is capable of agitating materials in a fermentation tank without compressing a culture bed and that is capable of preventing the excess of moisture content in a fermentation tank. SOLUTION: The garbage disposer extinguishes the garbage by throwing the garbage into the fermentation tank in which the culture bed for decomposing the garbage is placed. The garbage disposer is provided with the fermentation tank that is supported to be rotatable so that the rotation axis is approximately horizontal, a rotation imparting means that rotates the fermentation tank, positioned outside of the fermentation tank, an air supply means that supplies air compulsorily into the culture bed and an exhaust means that exhausts the gas in the fermentation tank. The garbage disposer is further provided with a structure that supplies air while rotating the fermentation tank to agitate the culture bed and the garbage in the fermentation tank.
