Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coagulation apparatus having excellent continuity of effect of efficiently coagulating suspended particles in sludge water without clogging a filter. SOLUTION: Fibers, wires, belt like materials, curled turnings, pellets or chip like metal Mg 12 are packed in a cartridge case 11 to form the cylindrical filter 10. The filter is loaded in a vessel 1 having an outlet 2 and an inlet 3 for a liquid to be treated, the liquid to be treated introduced in the vessel 1 is passed through the filter. As a result, the suspended particles in the liquid to be treated are efficiently coagulated with magnesium hydroxide produced by the reaction of Mg with water as an electrolyte. |
