Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when a mobile working robot travels the side of a wall, untraveled or unworked area may remain where a mobile working robot cannot work. SOLUTION: A travel control means controls so as to keep the distance between a mobile working robot and the lateral wall face 11 constant by a distance measurement means set at the lateral face of a robot body 1. When the mobile working robot is travelling the side of the wall and recognizes a wall face in front by the distance measurement means set at the front face of the robot, the robot is made to travel as far as this side of a prescribed distance determination reference value L1 from the wall face in front, and then, the robot body of the mobile working robot is made to retreat by the prescribed distance (L2-L1), and is made to rotate in the travelling direction by a rotation control means. Accordingly, untraveled or unworked area cannot be generated and the moving area or work area of the mobile working robot can be expanded. |
