Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge for an automobile capable of easily detaching and attaching a closure panel from and to a body structure. SOLUTION: A door component 2 having upper and lower pivot arms 7 and a mount surface 6 and mounted on the vehicular closure panel and a body component 3 having upper and lower pivot arms 12 and a mount surface 11 and mounted on a vehicular body rotate around a common pivot shaft 10. The upper side pivot arm 12 of the body component 3 is equipped with a columnar protrusion 14 extending upward the arm. The door component 2 dimensionally determines a position of the closure panel and the body structure by an outside columnar bearing surface 20 of the columnar protrusion 14, and is alternately inserted into the body component 3. The pivot shaft 10 passes and extends through both of the pivot arms 7 and 12 so as to form a double hang pivot joint.
