Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding portable communication unit in which the lifetime of a battery can be prolonged without sacrifice of reliability, e.g. strength at a hinge part. SOLUTION: A printed board 20 is incorporated in the upper case 2 connected turnably to the lower case through the hinge part and provided with a power generating function 21 and a converter 22 wherein the power generating function 21 comprises a pendulum having a magnetic pole and a coil. The power generating function 21 generates an electromotive force by forming an excitation effect when the pendulum having a magnetic pole is oscillated or rotated by not only the open/close operation of the upper case 2 but also the vibration thereof to pass through the coil. The electromotive force is converted through the converter 22 into a DC current and fed to a secondary battery which is thereby charged. |
