Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut runner capable of performing a rotation changeover from a high speed to a low after a screw is seated without any time loss quickly and certainly. SOLUTION: The nut runner is composed of a motor part 1, a deceleration part 2, a clutch part 3, and a torque transducer 4 with are coupled together, whereby the rotation of the motor is transmitted upon deceleration to a rotary main shaft 5. A clutch shaft 22 coupled with a decelerating shaft 24 is fitted with a clutch mechanism 10, which is composed of a clutch upper 11, a clutch lower 12, and a ball 13 pinched between them. The fastening operations are such that first a screwing-fast is made in a high speed rotation, and after the screw is seated, a high-to-low changeover signal is sent to the motor 1 when the transducer 4 senses that the fastening torque attains the motor changeover torque value TS-1, and if some later, the torque value attains TS-2, the clutch mechanism 10 is actuated to once lower the fastening torque so that rotation changing-over of the motor 1 is conducted smoothly. |
