Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize drive control by suppressing variation in the r.p.m. of a brushless motor at the time of switching between an intermittent conduction drive system and a 180 deg. conduction drive system. SOLUTION: When switching is made from intermittent conduction drive to 180 deg. conduction drive, an r.p.m. control PWM duty/modulation rate operating section 12 multiplies the PWM duty of intermittent conduction drive by a specified value α. The corrected value is used as a modulation rate of 180 deg. conduction drive for generating a drive signal which is then delivered from a control circuit 7 to an inverter circuit 5. At the time of switching from 180 deg. conduction drive to intermittent conduction drive, the modulation rate of 180 deg. conduction drive is multiplied by a specified value β and the corrected value is used as the PWM duty of intermittent conduction drive. |
