Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the relation between an original telephone number and an changed telephone number controlled on the side of a network. SOLUTION: When a terminating telephone number, sent through a dial from a calling side telephone set 70A, has not yet been used, in a called side exchange 82, a corresponding changed telephone number, is obtained from a telephone number control DB 83, and the calling side telephone set 70A is notified thereof through a voice message. In the calling side telephone set 70A, when it is informed of an changed telephone number from the called side exchange 82 through a voice message, a dial data transmission request is transmitted to the called side exchange 82 through number alteration correspondence means 72, in response to a predetermined request operation by a user, and in response thereto dial data indicative of the changed telephone number of which the calling side telephone set 70A is informed from the called side exchange 82 is received. A new call is made using the dial data.
