Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable small-sized router in which a bit can be easily detached from a bit-mounting part by external operation. SOLUTION: In the portable small router wherein the bit 7 is constituted so as to be rotatively driven in a state of holding by pinching a shank part 701 of the bit 7 to one end side of a casing 1 in which a three pole electric motor and its control circuit are incorporated, a bit-taking out operation mechanism so constituted that the bit 7 can be taken out from the bit-mounting part 4 by transferring a shank part end of the bit 7 held by pinching to the bit- mounting part 4 in a separating direction by external operation, is provided. Six slot holes per 60 deg. are provided to a connection part 3 provided to the bit- mounting part 4, and when the motor is stopped, same slot hole is opened toward an extruding part 602 of the bit-taking out operation mechanism.
