Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aligning method and device and a manufacturing method for a forged product using the same, which can distinguish a top face and a bottom face and align the orientations of the top and bottom faces, out of a number of materials of truncated conical shapes in a mixed state in terms of the orientations of the top and bottom faces. SOLUTION: The material of the truncated conical shape whose bottom face diameter is larger than that of the top is placed randomly in terms of the orientation of the top face. The aligning method for the material of truncated conical shape is characterized by comprising a step to roll and move forward the material with its side face downward, a step to distinguish the direction of trail in rolling, and a step to bring the material down to a predetermined direction based on the direction of trail and thus align the orientation of the top face either upward or downward.
