Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital AV device which is coupled by a digital AV transmission line which connect a plurality of AV devices including a device with an image display function, control power supply, data transfer, etc., between the AV device with the image display function and other AV devices, and improve user's convenience, and to provide their control method. SOLUTION: Provided are a switch (SW1) which selectively connects a DVD player (DVD5) and a set-top box (STB6) to a TV receiver (TV8) and a microcomputer 3 which controls the switch (SW1) so that the DVD player (DVD5) and set-top box (STB6) whose power-on lines (PQ1, PW2) are active to the TV receiver (TV8) and controls the TV receiver (TV8) to turn on its main power source 3.
