Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector without generating arc discharging when cutting a main contact from a counter terminal within a counter connector. SOLUTION: The electric connectors 40 and 104 including a contact terminal separable without cutting off power in advance include the main contacts 12 and 112 and auxiliary contacts 16 and 130 branched by positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resistors 6 and 140. The positive temperature coefficient resistors 6 and 140 are located among the main contacts 12 and 112 and the auxiliary contacts 16 and 130. The main contacts 12 and 112 are cut first, and the auxiliary contacts 16 and 130 may be longer than the main contacts 12 and 112. Since current is branched into the long auxiliary contacts 16 and 130 which are still connected, arch discharge is not generated at fitting ends of the main contacts 12 and 112.
