PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument capable of enhancing workability for attaching or adjusting a detection part and capable of performing wiring without unreasonably bending a cable. SOLUTION: The measuring instrument 1 is constituted so that the detection part connected to a part to be measured is provided in a case 2 and the signal detected by the detection part is sent to the outside of the case through the cable 5. The case has a main body case part 6 and a lid case part 7 for covering the main body case part. The main body case part has a bottom plate part and a back surface part 6B and is opened in two directions, that is, a front direction and a top direction. The joint 4 connected to the part to be measured and a cable take-out port are provided on the bottom plate part. The detection part is provided at the end part in the case of the joint and the cable is inserted into the cable take-out port and the terminal 18 electrically connected to the detection part is provided on the back surface of the case and the end part in the case of the cable is connected to the terminal.
