PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material for a paint excellent in the affinity (wettability) with a resin component and oil absorbability, rich in corrosionproof properties, having coloration tolerance and compounding tolerance, excellent in storage stability and rich in coating workability using fly ash, to provide a coating excellent in the affinity (wettability) with the resin component and oil absorbability, rich in corrosionproof properties, having coloration tolerance and compounding tolerance, excellent in storage stability and rich in coating workability using the raw material, and to provide a raw material of a plastic structure excellent in molding flowability and high density filling properties and having high rigidity and high strength. SOLUTION: The baked fly ash is obtained by baking fly ash at a high temperature of 500 deg.C or higher, preferably, 600-800 deg.C. The filler for a resin composition or a widely used extender pigment for an organic paint comprises the baked fly ash. The coating prepared by adding the widely used extender pigment for the organic paint to a coating, more concretely, an epoxy-based coating is also disclosed.
