Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow reduction in the sensitivity of an amplifier to an offset voltage without the need for a capacitor and a capacitive coupling. SOLUTION: The method includes steps: comparing the input signal with a reference value, generating an intermediate signal by subtracting from the input signal a so-called correction signal resulting from said comparison, evaluating a mean value of the rectified intermediate signal, and multiplying the input signal by said mean value.
