Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide case reinforcing structure for an automobile air bag system that can combine the lowering of rigidity in the buckling direction of a case and improvement of rigidity in an opening direction. SOLUTION: An upper side flange 14a of a reinforcing member 14 is stuck to a rear wall part 12, and a lower side flange 14b is engaged with the rear wall part 12 in the state of impeding displacement in the opening direction A and allowing displacement in the buckling direction B. When the inflating force of an air bag is applied to an upper opening, the reinforcing member 14 functions as a beam to improve rigidity in the opening direction, and when impact load from an occupant is applied to the upper opening, the rear wall part is displaced to lower the rigidity in the buckling direction. |
