SOLUTION: In the tenter oven comprising the heating zone with an arranged plenum duct 6 for heating the film 2, a cooling zone with an arranged plenum duct 7 for cooling the film 2, the intermediate chamber 4 demarcated between the heating zone and the cooling zone through partition walls 8 and 9 and a tenter for stretching the film 2 to be transferred in a direction heading for the cooling zone from the heating zone, an air jet nozzle 11 for forming an air layer 10 which traverses the surface of the film 2 by spewing a fresh air to the surface of the film 2, is provided in an intermediate chamber 4.
