Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional remote control system having to reserve a huge storage area to store a program for remote control. SOLUTION: When a mobile information device 10 enters wireless LAN area, the mobile information device 10 downloads a program for remotely controlling a television receiver 20 received from the television receiver 20. In this case, the mobile information device 10 uploads data of less use frequency, as required to an HDD 21, to generate a free area in the mobile information device 10 and downloads the program to the free area. The mobile information device 10 uses the downloaded program to remotely control the television receiver 20.
