Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element of high yield and high quality prevented from partial short circuit between electrodes or an approximate short circuit state and free from erroneous light emission and display unevenness caused by the generation of a leak current. SOLUTION: This organic EL element has a first electrode 2 and a second electrode 10 in order on a substrate 1 and has three or more organic layers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 at least one layer of which has a light emitting function, between the electrodes 2, 10. At least two or more organic layers 3, 4 out of the organic layers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are structured to embed foreign matters, and the glass transition point of the organic layer 3 in contact with the first electrode 2 out of two or more organic layers 3, 4 is higher than that of the other organic layer 4 embedding the foreign matter. |
