Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear resistant aluminum alloy long-length body which has excellent shear cuttability and can be subjected to die peeling treatment, and to provide a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The wear resistant aluminum alloy long-length body has a composition containing, by mass, 7 to 13% Si, 0.001 to 0.3% Fe, 2.0 to 5.0% Cu, 0.3 to 1.0% Mg, 0.001 to 0.3% Mn, 0.001 to 0.3% Cr, 0.003 to 0.03% Sr and 0.005 to 0.05% Ti, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. The size of Si particles present in the inside is <=10 μm by the average value, and is <=30 μm by the maximum value, and the size of Si particles in the range from the surface layer to a depth of 1.5 mm lies in the range of <=6 μm by the maximum value. The Al alloy has a crystal structure of one kind selected from the group consisting of a hot rolled structure, a recrystallized structure and a mixed structure of a hot rolled structure and a recrystallized structure.
