Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transform the latent physiological properties of fish-and-shellfish muscle by a physical means. SOLUTION: The objective method for rearing fish-and-shellfish is characterized by comprising continuously or intermittently injecting the rearing water with low-frequency electric current. The fish-and-shellfish thus reared by the above method is provided. A fish-and-shellfish rearing device including electrodes set at arbitrary positions in a rearing environment and working so as to continuously or intermittently inject the rearing water with low-frequency electric current is also provided.
